Heading that way next week with my 15, 8 and 4 year olds in a small villa. Have a car. Any recommendations for the following please?
Really nice hotel heated pool ideally with a splash park we can get a day pass for.
Any great eateries or bakery/fishmongers
Market
hidden gems or fun stuff!
Thank you. 🙏🏼

I’ve been years ago it’s lovely, though was quite small with lots of nice restaurants with bars.

We stayed in Port de Soller last May half-term, really liked it. I don't think it's a splash park kind of place though, the buildings are squeezed in around a harbour and splash parks require space. West coast of Majorca is not so developed, I think you'd need to travel north to Alcudia region or South to Palma Nova region to find that. Loads of restaurants in Port de Soller all along the promenade, people eat early by Spanish standards and places were busy at 6:30/7 and quietening down by 9. Food was nice, but all offering similar things. We didn't go, but the tram runs up to Soller town and when I was researching I think there are better restaurants up there. You can't drive down the beachfront promenade in Port de Soller, it's pedestrian/tram/very occasional taxi only, so I would have a list of parking options before you get there. I imagine high season it would be hard to park, but in May probably it will be fine.

We stayed in Port de Soller in September and it's beautiful. But as @TeamGeriatric said it's quite compact around the harbour and surrounded by the mountains so there's no big splash parks or similar.
There are lots of hiking trails and Mallorca as a whole is good for cycling so you will find bike hire shops. For bakery and market etc probably best to go into Soller which is a bigger more practical town. It is drivable or you can take the wooden tram which is a nice journey. For casual eating we liked a place called Roma . And in the evening we went to a lovely restaurant called suculenta - it is on a kind of jetty where all the fancy yachts moor . It was fascinating watching "yacht life" as the sunset!
There is a museum which is situated in a great position to watch the sunset and it had a free art exhibition one evening.
We loved it there!

Port de Soller is lovely but probably not quite what you are looking for. I lover Soller old town but again maybe not right. The wooden tram between the two towns is nice.
Fet a Soller is a gourmet grocery shop which has branches in the port and the old town, I’ve only been in the old town one but it does really nice ice cream in the wee garden out the back: https://www.fetasoller.com/en/mallorca-shop.php/about

The jardins de Alfabia are worth a visit, very chilled, and El vasco restaurant next door is really nice:

Oh dear OP, did you not look at a map of Mallorca before you went?

Nearest market will be in Soller or Palma.

I’d recommend an automatic hire car over a manual, so much easier to get about the often twistier roads once you’re off the main roads.

Things to do, there’s the tram up to Soller town and the original old train from there to Palma, where you can head for the cathedral via Placa Major.

why not swim in the sea off the beach at Port de Soller?

There’s the lighthouse at Cap Formentor , stop off in Pollenca ( inland town ) and walk up the 400 steps to the old chapel ( El Calvari ) the square where the steps begin has several cafes for refreshment.

Theres other attractions but I’d like you to respond to the comments so far!
