Holiday advice - all inclusive

Can I ask whether others are still booking holidays and flights at the moment for the summer with everything going on in the world? We would like to go away but I feel slightly nervous to book anything.

Also, we have a budget of up to around £3500 for a family of 5 (2 adults, a 6 year old, 4 year old and baby). We would like a week abroad all inclusive in the school summer holidays, ideally with 2 rooms so the baby doesn’t keep the other kids awake and with a kids club. Do you think this is possible? I love the idea of Majorca as the flight isn’t too long and I have fond memories of going there as a child but I’m not sure if we could afford that. Many thanks

My best advice is to book a traditional package - it gives you far more protection.

We booked our summer holiday before everything started in ME so cannot comment on that.

Your baby will be free so if you can get a free child's place you will only need to pay for 2a 1c. This should be just about manageable if you are flexible about where and when you go.

If you are in the North of England consider flying from Scotland at the end of the holidays (theirs are earlier).

Many thanks both

Yes people are still going on holidays
You're going to struggle to get a decent AI on that budget though OP for 5 people, I'd look at easyjet holidays they do good offers

EasyJet you’ll get a package for about that price , I just had a quick look, not sure you’ll get 2 rooms though .

We’ve booked with TUI to go to Majorca next month.

Just make sure you buy your travel insurance as soon as your holiday is booked and read the terms carefully.

Yes, I am still travelling. I do most of it for work, but have holidays to South Africa, Italy, England and Germany planned - I only recently booked, or not even yet.

I only ever book refundable accommodation though, as I never do packages. So if the airline cancel the flights, I have incurred no expense. The only non-refundable activity this summer is a safari - but they do let you move the dates if your plans change.
