Pretty much what you would expect!

KFC/Pizza hut/baked potato place/fish and chips etc.

I wouldn't take a picnic, it will get all hot and sweaty!

We do KFC and just deal with the guilt by thinking that it is only twice a year

Well, if you will only ever consider hand picked organic lentils good enough then you will be disappointed. They do have Pizza Hut, Burger King and fish and chips. They also have a cafe nero for sandwiches etc. We've been lots of times to Chessington. Sometimes we take a picnic and put it in a cool bag in a locker until we want it and sometimes we just eat expensive junk - depends how I feel on the day really. I think they have a mexican themed fast food place too.

Obviolsy I would prefer hand-picked lentils...but I just can't face lugging round a picnic...and I'm running out of tiem as we are off tomorrow!

as you're on...any reccommendations for the best rides.?..I have Ds aged 6 and then 9-10 year old girls.

Get Fast pass tickets. They're an extra £6 each and valid for 6 of the top rides, but better than spending an hour + queueing.

Laserquest is great for everyone, as is the Bubbleworks. Older ones will like the Vampire, possibly Dragon's Fury if they're tall enough. Billy Whizzers are good, but the 6 year old probably won't be tall enough. Dragon Falls good fro all and black buccaneer too - but DO NOT sit at the back of the Black Buccaneer it's horrendous. Dennis' madhouse good for all, and maybe a ride on the monorail for a bit of chillout time.

There's a playbarn type thing near one of the cafe Nero's - suggest there as well as you can sit down with a coffee and chocolate while kids amuse themselves close by.

Get there early - maybe 9.30 (opens at 10) then you should be able to get on a couple of the big rides without using the fast pass tickets as the queues wion;t be too bad, then later on when it's busy use the fast pass.

And don't forget to visit the zoo on your way out!

Oh - do Billy Whizzers near the end - you get v. wet~!

theres also a wetherspoons style pub that does cooked meals. My 2.5 yo dd loves the bubble works, the elephants, the carosel, the tiny truckers and the little boats. We go there quite a lot and got an annual pass which gets you into loads of places like chessington, legoland, thorpe park, sea life centres etc. I found it well worth the money as I can take her out to loads of places without having to worry about the money.

Get fast passes for the rest of you at the admission gate! Nothing worse for a younger sibling having to wait for an hour while his older sister gets straight on!
