Travelling with young children

I'm planning on going abroad for a beach/city break with my DC in the summer. It's a place that we've been to before, we rent an Airbnb and beach/activities are all within walking distance for us.
DD6 can walk for miles and is happy to do so. DS will be almost 4 years old when we go. In previous years, we have always taken the buggy for him and its worked well but is this still a good idea when he's almost 4? He is a big boy (almost in 5-6 clothes at 3 years old) but he still gets a tired quickly and would rather not walk. He also isn't a fan of scooting or riding a bike (despite me trying my hardest!). If he had his way he would sit in the buggy and be quite happy with that.
My question is is it terrible to take a buggy to cart him around so we can get out and be out all day and not worry about him needing/wanting to rest? Is there another solution that I dont know about? Any other ideas or thoughts?
Temperature wise it will be 25-30° and I did think about a backpack carrier but I will be sweating in that heat!

do whatever works for you and your family, whatever that is!!

Take a cheap buggy / second hand one you can always ditch it / pass on to another family. Sounds like your child would benefit from it (and your family too as if the kids don’t moan mums happy right) 🤩

Trike or balance bike? But big and bulky. Who wouldn’t like to be chilled out on “chair” to relax on if you are tired 👍 aka pram

We live in London With a 2 & 5 year old and still often take 2 buggies out for the day if we have a big one planned - we have no car so are up and down a lot of stairs and on tubes/trains/buses lots of walking - very tired legs happen so we just take it - don’t care about her age tbh never occurred to me not to put her in buggy if she needed it

2 buggies always on holiday !!

Whatever makes the day easier on holiday I say.

The first time we didn’t take the buggy on holiday DC ended up getting sick and we really wished we’d taken it!

Take the buggy! What ever makes it a holiday for you! Or you will be carrying a tired child arround. My youngest is now 5 and we took the buggy last year for a holiday that finished days before he started reception. Handy for trips back from the pool when he was tired plus it somewhere to put the bags. We just came back from a week way and did take it as he hasn’t used it since last August - when it was super hot and he was tired - I had to carry to him
