Any one bought tickets for the Acropolis. I have been on the hhticket.gr website but cannot get any for end of may. Have I left it too late??
are they released in blocks? Can get until end of April. But nil for May
asvice appreciated.

Had a great few days in Athens, at the airport now which compared to the one we went through in Spain last month is a haven of relaxation so far.

would throughly recommend the Acropolis museum before going to the Acropolis itself and getting there early to get the stunning top gallery all to yourself.

we had a 17:00 slot for the acropolis itself, pre-booked but no queues at all.

with teens dependent on their interests the Greek technology museum near Syntaga square is good.

city clean and felt very safe. Metro good, though busy. Though we got a car transfer from and to the airport which was not hugely more than the metro, especially with four is us, and a lot more relaxing.

The “queue” for the 1700 time slot earlier this week. 😀

I went up the Acropolis on Sunday - no queuing and all good. Either 3rd Saturday or Sunday of the month is free - I thought it was Sunday but at the ticket office they said it was Saturday

I have booked 17:00 on a Monday. It is uk half term and I’m not sure about the rest of Europe holidays so hopefully will be not insanely busy.

We went last August. Didn't even occur to me to buy tickets in advance. Was very quiet when we went. Arrived around midday, no queues

Lake Vouliagmeni is worth a visit
