Has anybody booked a £9.50 ☀️ holiday?

I'm seriously considering doing it. We are on a tight budget this year. Would love to here your views on the Sun holidays. We would be looking at going ro Spain or Italy. I know they are a little more expensive.

I did one quite a few years ago in Cornwall. It was basically a chalet that was one removed from being condemned. You could upgrade which I would have done if there were any left but check all the extras needed (passes etc). Ultimately it was 4 days away for 20quid and at the time it was the only chance to get away. I wouldn't bother again but im much more comfortable now.

My brother has done them many times, they are good value for money but you need to be realistic about the standard of accommodation, likely to be the older units perhaps a bit tatty, doesn’t include linen (bring from home) and I think you have to pay for entertainment passes if you want them. You get what you pay for.

I’m really getting into them, you can’t beat the value. Currently enjoying 4 nights in Cornwall for £170 total, so just over £21 per night each! Just the two of us so it’s easy, we spread our clothes and stuff out over 3 bedrooms. We use it for UK beach breaks, relaxing and a base for days out. Tend not to use the onsite facilities or entertainment, take our own food and drink. Taking a couple of meals made at home in advance means little or no cooking. Visited a few different holiday parks around the West Country. Never had a bad caravan, they’ve always been clean, comfortable, spacious, with reasonably well equipped kitchen, good tv, decent shower and nicely made up beds. I suppose you don’t get their very best caravans, and you could get unlucky with noisy neighbours but if you can avoid busy times it is very peaceful.

I had a friend who went on Mirror holidays all the time - they're provided by the same company. Agree with the advice to keep your expectations realistic but, yes, why not?!

I tried one years ago but with all the compulsory add ons it didn't work out much cheaper than booking direct, I also remember that you had to give a choice of dates and parks and you then had to wait and see what you'd get, which would obviously cause difficulties with booking flights and annual leave. Is it still like this or has it changed for the better?
