We have a weekend in Paris booked with 9 year old DC.

It's my birthday so a nice meal is in order....but not naice naice IYSWIM, not Parisian fancy, just decent food, comfortable and family friendly.

Oh and it's Easter Sunday....Will everything be closed?

Thanks

Stellar and Jungle Palace are both great. I thought they’d be too gimmicky but we were actually very impressed.

Brasserie Vaudeville - very, very French but wonderfully welcoming with great service and food.

Age of kids? If they like Japanese, then Pink Koi is great; went there for my son’s birthday. It’s table service, all you can eat dinner for €42 a head; you have 2 hours to fill your boots. You order 3 dishes a head, every 15 minutes via your table iPad. We were beaten after 3 rounds, but could have squeezed in another round. Great sushi, sashimi etc, plus usual staples like tempura and gyoza, in very chic and fun decor.

Brasserie Vaudeville, Boeuf sur le Toit or Bofinger are all great, classic French bistros.

Otherwise, if you want basic but classic French food at a very reasonable price in beautiful decor, then Bouillon Julien is an art nouveau gem. You can book now (but would need to insist at the entrance, as the queue will be huge). Or go for lunch, but arrive early like 12 noon.

Oh … just seen that it’s for Easter Sunday. This Sunday? A lot of places will be rammed, if open. Check Google for opening hours, make a reservation asap, or otherwise arrive early if booking is not possible. Places like the Bouillons (Julien or Montparnasse, or even Pigalle if you’re planning to do Montmartre) might be a better bet if you arrive at noon or just before.
