Please recommend some hotels in Hanoi that’s central to walk everywhere, spotless, good breakfast. Looking for somewhere for 5 days. Prefer a quieter hotel inside as I’m in my 50s, but love the business outside! It’s Thanks

If you have the funds I would treat myself to the Metropole. Ask to be in the old part if possible. Beautiful, old school historic glamour, quiet and refined, right in the heart

We stayed here and it was really central so we walked everywhere. It was recommended to us for our honeymoon and didn't disappoint. Staff were amazing and helped us organise the remainder of our trip, transport etc. when we decided to change our plans. Gorgeous rooftop terrace and bar.

The Metropole looks lush, but too expensive.

I'm no expert, but think you get what you pay for in Hanoi. I also think our hotels will be too cheap at £30 a night, and £20 a night, we were backpacking (no luxury, no pools etc.) but always had twin room, ensuite and breakfast. We stayed in two, the Ruby La Storia, was fine, but really small rooms, clean, and helpful staff, central, no frills. We also ended up staying for one night in the Anise Hotel, which was ludicrously cheap at £20 per night, and although I did not love the room particularly (large but old fashioned) I have to say that they had the better breakfast and was very close to what we wanted to see. Absolutely nothing wrong with either, but they were basic if you are wanting more of a hotel. HTH x
