Holiday with disabled dc

Both young DC are disabled and wheelchair users. We want to go abroad this year but it just worries me. Last year we did Spain and luckily the hotel was very accessible but this year I am struggling to find anything. We booked with TUI who were great.
Has anyone been anywhere suitable that they could recommend? Ideally, somewhere where transport is easily
accessible. Can be anywhere in the world, happy to look at all options. DC are 7 and 12.
thank you

I use a wheelchair.

advice will be different depending on whether they can walk a few steps/do a transfer/need a hoist etc.

i can walk a few steps and I’ve been to loads of places. Barcelona - stayed in a hotel on the main road. Athens - got an accessible room in a big hotel. Some sights not accessible but the majority were. Marrakech - accessible room in a TUI all inclusive hotel. The city not terribly accessible but the people incredibly helpful.

went to Lanzarote in January and it was very accessible - buses have lifts and wheelchair spaces, pavements largely had dips in etc.

Public transport in Spain tends to be very accessible in tourist areas. We’ve holidayed with DC and my DF, both wheelchair users and have like Fuengirola for its accessibility both in the resort and for using the trains and buses. Many of the hotels can get beds and other equipment in for you should you need it. We’ve used Senior World before to get an electric bed for DF.
My DF also goes to a hotel in Tenerife which is fabulous. I’ll try and find it for you. The family who run it have a family member who was disabled and they couldn’t find anywhere suitable for holiday so opened their own.

Have you found the website https://www.euansguide.com/ whilst there are not many reviews on travelling abroad, the more people who put reviews on there the better it will be!

I’ve been on a few cruises where there have been many families with DC in wheelchairs, they say cruising from Southampton helps makes the holiday and they have accessible cabins.

Thank you so much everyone, lots of helpful suggestions!

Thank you so much. Yes sorry, I should have said. Both dc can walk a few steps and won't require a hoist. Really helpful suggestions, thank you!
