Ideas for 10-day June driving holiday in Alps with older teens

We've got the chance this year to go away outside of school holidays for the first time with 2DCs (18 and 16). I spent time living in Germany and France in my teens and really miss the scenery. I'm trying to plan a driving holiday for around 10 days at the end of June/beginning of July that will take in gorgeous scenery (lakes and mountains) as well as activities for that age (ziplining/kayaking). I'm a bit lost about where to start! Any suggestions either of activities or must-see locations would be really helpful, and any recommended accommodation. Thanks!

Okay, I'll start but I am a bloke and this is a nerd's dream.

Your drive could encompass two locations, one used in the James Bond film Goldfinger - where Bond in his Aston Martin DB5 is tailing Auric Goldfinger through Switzerland, I believe this starts in Geneva, where Bond flies out to. This area I believe is also in the opening of The Italian Job, which you can find on YouTube of course, where an Italian is driving through the sunny mountain area in his red Ferrari to the sound of Matt Monro's On Days Like These.

In the book Goldfinger, Bond tails the villain through France while the destination pretty much ends in Geneva. I do seem to recall a Times magazine article by a journalist who did the same route some years ago.

Thanks! Big fan of Goldfinger and so is DH so that would appeal to us! Will bear that in mind

A couple of nights ago at Camping Jungfrau in Lauterbrunnen might suit. Lots of activities locally, the train up to Jungfraujoch is amazing as it travels actually through the mountain, and the river/waterfalls breathtaking. It is hot too far to Interlaken.
They have cabins on site, and I believe you can also book mobile homes now through Eurocamp.

Just noticed the James Bond references, from Lauterbrunnen you can easily visit Schilthorn Piz Gloria where skiing scenes from OHMSS were filmed.

Morzine is a brilliant place to spend a few days - via Ferrata, lake montriond, what was once the longest zip wire in europe nearby, parasailing, high wire parks, mountain biking…it’s serious fun central if you’re into the outdoors!!

Ohhh I like the Alps but if I had a rare opportunity to go away in June I wouldn’t pick the Alps! As the Alps are not too crowded in July/Aug and more stuff is open then.

I would probably go for somewhere like Cote d’Azur or various bits of Italy which are overrun in July and August but much quieter in June. Or Croatia or Slovenia which again can get overrun in peak season.

However if you’re set on the Alps I agree Morzine has loads to do (and Lake Montriond is gorgeous) and can easily be combined with Lake Annecy, Lake Geneva (Evian/Thonon les Bains) and perhaps Chamonix if you want another stop.

Or you could do the Italian Lakes and the Dolomites?

Some really great suggestions here, thank you! Spoilt for choice. @Blindingbatshittery I will look into Morzine, that sounds fab. At the moment struggling between spending the majority of the time in Switzerland or Austria, I think Swiss prices may influence that. Thinking possibly about Europapark as well..any experiences?

I live in Geneva and can thoroughly recommend Switzerland and France - Morzine is great in the summer- as others have said lac montriond is stunning - swimming, crazy golf in the forest, restaurant next to lake. In Morzine there's hiking, go ape type thing, outdoor pool, padel courts. In Switzerland- try lauterbrunnen, stoos ridge hike, jungfrau. Can also looks at the vineyards, wine terraces next to lake geneva - lavaux region - driving along here is stunning

There’s a place on the Tyrol called Area 47, never been but it looks like a dream
for older, active kids. And Annecy is beautiful.

if you are near Chamonix then look at the cable car to the Aigulle du midi. Amazing views. It is also possible to walk into the (quickly receding) mer de glacé. The wildlife Parc de Merley is fun too for a quieter pace. Lots of chamois, marmottes and amazing views of Mont Blanc.

Thank you all, there is so much food for thought here! It's a lovely problem to have. Area 47 looks brilliant and just the sort of thing my boys would love (and me to some degree!) I also really like the vineyard suggestion @Janblues28. We've got 10 days max so working out what to do and what to leave out is going to be so hard.
