Reykjavik Trip - cashless?

Hi, I’m off to Reykjavik for a few days later this week. I read somewhere recently that it’s a cashless society and I’d assumed I’d pay for everything on a card. I’m having doubts though now . Has anyone been who can confirm or should I get a nominal amount of cash exchanged

I'm here now and have been for a week. I haven't used cash once.

Enjoy your time in Iceland!

I knitted my own Lopi jumper 42 years ago - they were quite a thing there.

I am still wearing it.

I knit two Lopi jumpers about 45 years ago, one for husband and one for 5 year old son. I used to knit them while at playgroup and toddlers and Young Wives, carting around a huge bag containing the jumper knit in the round with all the different coloured yarns. The result was amazing and lasted years, the elbows eventually went.

I was there last month. I took zero cash and just used my Monzo debit card and credit cards. You do not need any cash.
