Hi, any tips for restaurants, outings, things to do in Ljubljana. We like wandering around, art galleries, countryside, live music. Any recommendations for gluten free food would be much appreciated.

There’s a brilliant escape room called Enigmarium
The park is huge and beautiful (Tivoli Park)
We loved Supernatural Food and Wine - had some lovely meals there - I am sorry I can’t comment as to GFness, but worth checking the menu
Are you getting out of the city at all?

Escape room sounds fun! I wondered if it's the easy or cheap to get out to Lake Bled, we're definitely open to getting out of the city.

We hired a car to visit Lake Bled and highly recommend it.

You can get the bus to Bled. Very straightforward.

there is an hourly bus to lake bled or a train. We did the bus and all was fine. Would highly recommend especially on a nice day. We also got the train to Kamnik although lots was closed. Pretty place though.

we enjoyed all the museums and exhibitions up at the castle. Food and drink was cheap - there’s a wine bar called most which was great - the chap in there really knows his stuff.

Slovenia is a lovely place - enjoy!

A bus to Bled sounds good and also cheap! I've heard that most people speak English, did you find that?

Dezela Okusov is a completely gluten-free restaurant in the fashionable Eipprova street. This is a great area to hang out in the evening, with several good places to eat.
Slovenia is very GF-friendly - EU countries all mark the menus so you can see the options, and pretty much all restaurants will have GF options.

Yes, everyone speaks English. And you don't need a car to get to places like Bled, but if there in summer get there early for the bus as they get busy. I'd recommend going a bit off that beaten track and seeing somewhere a bit quieter too, though.

Yes English very widely spoken. A chap was telling me how they all have to learn it at school. It’s “hvala” for thank you, which we did try and use and seemed appreciated
