Need ideas for a big Big BIG wedding anniversary

I've got a year to plan the holiday of a lifetime to celebrate our Golden Wedding anniversary and I'm out of ideas.

Can you help? Feel free to ask questions, I don't want to shut anything down at the moment.

Budget minimum £10k. Time of year mid October.

The only unfulfilled holiday wishes I've got are the Gaudi architecture in Barcelona (but I would hate all the crowds), and the Venice Simplon Orient Express (but I've read it isn't worth the price).

Ideas please 🤗

How are you with boats? I really fancy a tall ship cruise with these people money day

I also fancy an Azamara cruise, Alaska and Japan sounds amazing.

@InspiremeaholidayThe whales are around Cape Town in the autumn. We have really enjoyed seeing them. I said, “the best safari experiences are NOT around Cape Town”. I think we agree actually.

@Mirrorxxx Going to SA is doable for £10,000 if you don’t want a safari lodge.

You could do it for under £10k, if you book independently- the lodge can help arrange transfer from the airport.

I did this as a kid. Would not recommend. The Rockies bit is lovely but the prairies in the middle of the country are just... flat. And they go on for a really, really long time.

Yes the travelling across the prairies is dull. I've drove across, gone on trains across, and flown across. You could fly to bc and take a tourist scenic train on the west coast. Also there scenic trains in Quebec and the east coast.

China? Amazing country. And you could get a train to Tibet which is one of the most amazing places I’ve ever been, and remarkably affordable

8 - 10 weeks in New Zealand.
See both Islands.

(As it is a Golden Wedding Anniversary, I'm presuming you are retired so can spend this amount of time)
