Alicante in March

Thinking of going for a few days mid March. Weather looks mid teens. Just want a short break away. Anyone been there this time of year and if so is it worth going into Benidorm for a day just to see it? 🙈 it wouldnt be my idea of a holiday destination but thinking might be fun to pop into for an afternoon!

Alicante area is lovely, there is a tram that runs from Alicante to Denia, places to visit are Alicante city, El Campello, Villajoyosa, Calpe. Book a trip to Guadelest and Algor waterfalls, a boat trip yo Tabarca Island, there is loads to do and easy to get round. Usually sunny during the day and chilli on a night.

The weather doesn't look good at the moment put you have time for it to change.

We are actually staying in Villajoyosa, it looks very pretty!

I was in Alicante last week. It wasn't quite beach weather, but very pleasant out in shorts and tshirt, although it was getting cool quite early in the afternoons.

Personally, I quite like Benidorm out of season. There's much more to do there than in Alicante.

Valencia's better than either though.

El Campello is really nice has a long promenade with lots of bars and restaurants, not as spead out as Villajoyosa also if you get chance Venta Lanuza is a small cove with a lovely bar and restaurant. There is a tram stop there. Muchhavista beach is also really nice. If your there for a while get a tram card from the tram office it is much cheaper than paying on the tram
