We just eat at top class places now in India. No manky back street places. Meat is fine if you choose the restaurant wisely.

I never eat in top class places when I go to India.
I stick to small hole in the wall places or busy, restaurants that are full of locals. I've never been sick when I have visited.

I prefer to know what I’m getting! We don’t do street food. Not our style of holiday.

Fair enough. I love street food but the world would be a boring place if we all liked the same thing.

I think there are different ways to see India (like most places, but India is a land of extremes). Package, organised, 5*, hotel food, or fancy restaurants when out and about. A lovely holiday.

Then self-organised, cheaper/budget hotels, find your own local food etc. Less relaxing, but a lot more adventure.

Lots in between.

We do adventures (eg Antarctic) but on our terms and not roughing it. Each to our own. What you can see is the same though.
