3 days in Singapore

I'm looking for some itinerary inspo for 3 days in Singapore πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬

We have two DC. One teen and one age 4, what are the absolute most sees/dos?

What kind of budget do we need per day excluding accommodation, we don't drink alcohol and we're happy with mid range eateries.

Thank you

Marina Bay Sands
Gardens by the Bay
Botanic Gardens
Sentosa Island

You can eat very cheaply at the Hawker Centres - our favourite was Lau Pa Sat.

We went last summer. Only 2 nights and wish we had more.

we did gardens by the bay late afternoon and that meant we could finish at the right sort of time to watch the light show. Get there sharp - you need space as everyone lies on their back to watch it.

we did a 3 hour private walking tour of China town, little India and kampung glam. We really enjoyed that.

We also went to Universal - got fast passes which made it a pricey day but wouldn’t want to have done it without.

food could vary wildly depending what you eat - we went to an Italian by hotel for lunch day we got there and it was about Β£75 for 3 for a main and drink each (which was a massive culture shock after coming from Borneo!) Foodhalls were way less.

Watching and wondering what the food along Boat Quay is like
(doing Singapore stopover before Borneo !)

@Talkinpeace enjoy Borneo - we did Kuala Lumpur, Borneo, Singapore last summer and loved it!

We stayed next to Boat Quay, I grabbed a takeaway from there one night which was ok - I think it was busier other side of the river.

This is literally a perfect amount of time for me in Singapore. I would go for a nose along Orchard Road etc for one day, finishing up with beers and bites in the little streets. Sentosa island on day. Marina Bay Sands for breakfast one morning, then botanic gardens and do the gardens by the bay in the evening.

National Orchid Centre was lovely

The light show in Gardens by the Bay was my favourite thing.

Orchard Rd is not particularly exciting IMHO. It's shops and hotels.

The Writer's Bar at Raffles was amazing - it's like going back 100 years. A man opens the door for you and says "Good evening, ma'am". You probably can't take the DCs in there. There is another bar in Raffles where you get Singapore Slings but it didn't have quite such an amazing vibe and it was busy and noisy.

This is a good mix for your age range. The ArtScience museum (also at MBS) is also amazing and both your DC should enjoy that. Try to fit in Cloud Forest and SkyPark at MBS if you can get tickets. Maybe try and get in a Night Safari at the zoo one night. Definitely eat at a Hawker Centre for most of your trip, lots of range. Singapore Flyer is worth a visit for the views. Children are allowed in the Long Bar at Raffles if you fancy it. Not sure what your budget is but we used to live in Singapore and we once treated ourselves to a one night stay at Marina Bay Sands so we could all use the infinity pool. Was definitely worth it!

eta - don’t forget to get some pictures with the Merlion in the background (and MBS!)

Those skewers so yummy, the prawn ones were a bit spicy but I couldn't stop eating them!

Just be aware OP, that you have to stay at the Marina Bay Sands to use the pool. Your room key is the access to the pool level.
Otherwise, there is a charge of about Β£25 p .p to visit the observation deck. We had a room at MBS overlooking Gardens by the Bay which is spectacular at night. The bum boats are also worth a trip around the harbour and up close to the Merlion.
