What to pack for winter Baltic cruise

I am thinking of booking a cruise over Christmas and the New Year, stopping in Oslo, Copenhagen, Poland, Hamburg and Zeebrugge
The temperature in Oslo today at 15.00 is -7 feels like -13, NNE wind gusting 22, humidity 67% no sun, which is a bit worrying. People say cold dry conditions are better than the cold damp of a UK winter - and today in my location the humidity is 87% which doesn't seem a lot more.

I don't want to have to buy a lot of clothes I might never wear again. I have a good long duvet coat, plenty of layering clothes including thermals. I would need ski pants or similar and suitable footwear. Would this be enough for short visits ashore, no extreme activities?

That would be absolutely fine. I should imagine in many of those places, you‘ll be doing indoor attractions anyway. We did a boat cruise round the canals Copenhagen but it was undercover, the boat was heated and we had takeaway hot chocolates!

Your clothing sounds fine but I don’t think you can guarantee that in any of these places you are going to get crisp sunny days rather than damp cold.

Sounds pretty good.
Also a neck warmer, quality wool hat with a lining, and the best water & wind proof gloves you can find!

Vinted is your friend. Buy off there at second hand costs and reselL for the same amount. Purely cash flow change and you shouldn’t lose financially. Aim for a ski coat, salopettes and snow boots to keep warm alongside a snood/hat/mittens

Thanks for all the responses. I’ve never tried Vinted but that’s a good idea.

I was on a cruise last year in Hamburg and it was -9, but lots of layers and we were fine. Didn’t have thermals or anything special. A very tight first layer is key!
