Mauritius hotel recommendations please - July with teens

Hello. I am on the brink of booking a 7 day package to Mauritius - me plus 2 kids age 18 and 14. Looking for somewhere that offers good value vs Europe plus kids have never been anywhere vaguely exotic. Narrowed down to NW coastlines for the nicer weather (not worried about a drop of rain, and happy with temperatures in the 20s, early sunset). Looking probs at a hotel, maybe half board. Pushing the budget and think I can get to £5k.
Would love any hotel recommendations please and thank you.

By £5k I mean all in, flights and all.

We were there at Christmas and found hotels so horrendously expensive that we booked a 3 bed apartment with a pool. We stayed in Pereybeare. It was good to have space, car rental allowed us to explore and supermarkets were easy to shop in (basic French can help). We found few nice restaurants, unfortunately.

In that region we stayed at Les Canonniers which has good accommodation options for families and isn’t ridiculously expensive. The Attitude chain is also worth a look. I really don’t know if you can get it within this price though- July is low season but not sure how much that reduces things.

Many thanks - useful to hear.

Grand, thanks for the info. I think Attitude is a wee bit out of my price range.

We also found the attitude to be very good and our total cost was less than your budget, but that was 2 years ago so perhaps things have gone up? We bought in the British Airways sale as it was the best price qhen shopping around.

Both Sugar Beach and Long Beach were excellent though don't know about budget. I think we paid about £5k for 2 of us.

I second Sugar Beach (it is SW though, not NW). We went for our honeymoon in 2019 but there were also lots of families there. We did 10days, alternating outings vs beach / pool days and had a great time. I dont know how prices have changed since covid.

Thanks for all the Trou au Biches recommendations but just worked out it’s flipping well closed this summer!

Trou au Biches resort is more expensive than the others mentioned above so if those are out of range, Trou definitely would be. Mentioning in case that makes it less annoying that it’s shut!

Nice, thanks. Am worried about finding the best of the weather but maybe not a massive issue.
