A sailing holiday? Done one with Neilson in Greece. They were very good, very professional

Thanks. Which one in Greece? Can you tell me how it works? If you want to take kayak or paddles out, do you need to be signed up to an official activity? Or is there an ability to just pootle around?

I would expect the sailing lessons to be more organised but just wondering how the other activities work

Neilson fans here and we have been to Baia dei Mori several times. It's a lovely resort, all tucked in amongst the pine trees on a beautiful coast. If you want to take out bikes, boats, windsurfing kit, kayaks or sups you can ask and as long as their kit is available (which it mostly is) and they're happy you know enough about what you're doing to be safe in the conditions you can just go out. Tennis ditto though court availability can be limited during regular classes.

Organised lessons happen at set times (normally watersport beginners in the morning and intermediate in the afternoon when the wind picks up). Tennis and bikes tend to be in the morning and fitness classes dotted around.

I'd recommend them, if you like being active they're great.

Vounaki Beach club. We went with a couple of friends because both husbands wanted to gain a skipper certificate so that was the first week at the beach club with all the facilities. Friend and I relaxed while the guys went through their training. When they finished for the day from what I remember the small sailing boats, kayaks etc were just on the beach and you asked the guy in charge to take an item out. I think they were time limited to 45 mins or something. There were bikes to take out, I think they were booked the day before.
Second week we were on a flotilla.
sorry to be vague it was a few years ago now, but it was enjoyable and the beach club was lovely.

Food is fine, plentiful and lots of choice. Very nice posh restaurant along the beach if you fancy a treat on a non-inclusive night.
