We have never done this. My kids are 14 and 16. Is it too late?

I don't think you ever grow out of waterparks. You seek out bigger ones.

I love Siam Park in Tenerifwe. Brilliant for teenagers and the food was surprisingly good too. Not exactly an all in one holiday, but you can find an AI hotel nearby and tack on watersports or mountain trips as well.

I went to Siam park on a hen do, it was really fun!

My teens are 16 and 14 and love a water park. They would be over the moon with an AI holiday with one. We went on quite a few holidays like that when they were younger, and they lament about going back. These days we camp in France as it’s cheaper. We are, however, going to a campsite with a fantastic water park this summer so they get 50% of what they want (just not unlimited access to ice cream and pizza!)

Mine loved them from age 8 to 28. Two boys two years apart.
The best ever was Tenerife, stayed in Costa Adeje and went to Siam Parc a couple of times in the week. Of all the waterparks we've visited that one was the favourite. DS2 and his partner went last year age 26.

The all inclusive part is probably more appealing at age 14/16 than older. After that they preferred B&B in a big hotel but eating out, but early teen boys are impossible to fill and they loved AI.

Thanks. I think I just need a big enough park then. The older one loves this sort of thing but not if he is the only 16 year old there. Would need a good mix of ages

Every waterpark we've been to have had a huge range of ages there, plus there are many flumes and slides that smaller children are not allowed on, just older children and adults. Always plenty of those queuing up! There's no chance he's going to be the only one. Not sure about a hotel with "waterpark" included, those have always seemed on the small side to me?

Crete and Corfu have nice waterparks, Aqualand on Corfu is a particular favourite (although our absolute best is Waterbom in Bali) and is large enough to be entertaining for a full day. I believe it has accommodation on site as well, couldn't comment on that as we haven't used them. The cafes/restaurants on site are good though, not overpriced and decent quality.

On holiday we always do a day at a waterpark and for me, one day is enough, or two visits in three weeks. I don't know how it can continue to appeal day after day but it seems to for some people, so why would your kids be an exception? FWIW I do love it, there's just loads of other things to do as well!

My DH still hasn’t outgrown it.

Thanks to Covid we didn't go anywhere like that from DD being 12-15. And then she definitely wasn't keen anymore.

She likes the odd day at a pool to relax and recharge but is definitely more into sightseeing, activities, shopping. So we book a hotel now with a pool but not a full blown waterpark/slides etc in a location where there is much more to do and we can always go for a swim.

I’m 26 and if I’m booking an all inclusive I’ll definitely be wanting a water park .. 😂
