Lake Garda with 3&5 year old, where to stay?

Hi,

We've booked flights to lake Garda for the end of May but haven't booked accommodation just yet. We were looking at Spaggio D'Oro, which looked perfect, but they're not taking Thursday to Thursday booking this year. Any advice on which parks would be good to stay in with a 3 and 5 year old? Ideally something with 2 bed mobiles or bungalows, water slides and not to far to walk to the beach or ferry as they've all got little legs.

I would go to eurocamp in the south close to gardaland

Camping Bella Italia in Peschiera, you’ll find it on the Eurocamp website. It’s right on the lake with pools, restaurants, takeaways all on site.

We stayed at camp butterfly with similar aged kids last summer. Not as big or impressive facilities as Bells Italian but great for smaller kids.

Can they swim? That would be my first question

Bella Italia. Book direct as it’s often cheaper than eurocamp

Three 5 year old can, the 3 year old will just splash about.

Good tip, thank you!

Thanks everyone. It's our first time in a camp so will happily take any advice going. I'd love to sit on the porch and read once the kids are asleep, preferable with a nice-ish view it's that likely?

I think Bella Italia is too big for a 3 year old, the walking will drive you crazy! Heard good things about Butterfly as someone above said.

If you have a car Hu altomincio is great. Stayed last year with 4 and 1 yr old and loved it. They have a huge soft bottomed pool area which is about knee deep at its deepest. It’s a few miles from lake garda and not sure how accessible it would be without a car. Look at booking direct, better quality accomodation IMO then eurocamp.

Del Garda Village was amazing for us. We booked the new “villa” style offer and had 2 bedrooms, 1 was ensuite and we had another full bathroom. Location of the lodge was perfect too - definitely hook direct for cheaper prices and more central location. It was also a 10 minute walk up to a massive supermarket and a nice walk around the lake to plenty of restaurants.

Perfect for us as we didn’t have a car and we could walk to the train station for a day trip to Venice and also walked back from Gardaland (your DC probably a bit young).
