Holiday Essentials - what did you regret not having packed?

We're going on our first holiday with DD who will be 14 months mid-August.
Hoping to travel as light as possible as we'll be staying with friends and family, but I'm paranoid about leaving behind an essential bit of gear.

So far, I'm thinking of taking:
Sling
Pushchair (for evening sleeps when and if we eat out)
Car seat
car seat mirror
Baby Monitor (the houses we're staying in are quite large)
Some kind of yoga mat so DD can sleep on the floor

Anything else?

Calpol sachets

Thermometer, piriton, ibuprofen (I took calpol sachets) - my dd1 got chicken pox while we were away.

My maigraine tablets ( I won't get one on holiday, or so I thought!)

14 months - is she toddling?

Our most crucial bit of holiday kit (still take them, children are 9 and 7) are several of those anti-door-slamming foam horseshoes you get from Boots kids' safety dept - you can use them to put over corners on glass coffee tables, to stop an open window banging, to prop a door open when there's no nightlight ... endless uses.

Yes, it's always the medical things I forget.
Not toddling yet, but pretty close.

Any more for any more?
