Eurocamps in the 6 weeks holidays

we are a family of 5 so have been looking at affordable holidays- kids want waterslides and a pool with stuff to do.
I can’t deny the eurocamps look absolutely perfect, and now my algorithms make my social media flooded with people giving Eurocamps amazing reviews- but whenever I see videos, the camps look empty and chilled out.
so my question is, in the 6 weeks holidays how horrendously busy are they?

We usually go in the last week of August. Most European countries are already back to school by then so it's quitter and usually cheaper as well. Weather can be starting to turn but usually OK, and we're not massively into supper hot anyway.

We go to the Yelloh camps in France. Usually first week July; always busy.

School goes back in France on 2nd September this year, btw.

@Oriunda is it busy to the point that it's not enjoyable for you? (As I'm thinking of doing the same). I'm guessing not since you've done it more than once!

No, not rammed, just busy in the sense that plenty of kids around so not empty. We go the first week or two of July; lots of Irish and French families. Not many British unless at private schools as they break up earlier. Going again this year.

They can be quite full then but pay attention to the ‘entertainment’ and what hours that operates. One memorable year we had a pitch right next to the disco which went on until 10:30pm every night. In future I would study the site map more carefully and pay extra to choose a pitch further away.

I agree with this, its very common in Spanish sites entertainment doesn't begin until 10pm and goes on until early hours so if you want a early night sleep it's best to try and book ptich away from the entertainment hub. Some companies like Roan allow you to pay a fee to choose your pitch

As well as looking at the site map it's worth looking on Google maps as what borders the site. Particularly in coastal towns in South of France and Spain you will get a strip of campsites on the same road. So although you book a small quiet site and pitch away from it all, you might be up against the boundary of neighbouring site nightclub!

We’ve booked the last week of the UK summer holidays & was significantly cheaper than the preceding weeks. It’ll be our first time at a Eurocamp so will be interesting to try it out.

I'm wondering how high up the accommodation options we should go to get a reasonable place. I know in UK caravan parks the basic price ones don't tend to be great.
with the bedrooms being so small, it seems wise to get three so the dc have some space from each other. Though I notice the website always says the pictures are representations only, I hope they aren't too far from the reality!

Eurocamp list the sites by size but also if they are ‘lively’ etc, I also agree you can request to be away from bar/disco - but these always seem to finish by 11.
more of a concern to me would be sun loungers, water slide queues etc, where were you looking at?
