Dublin restaurants - recommendations?

Hello all, I wonder if anyone can recommend a few restaurants for myself and 6 friends to try in Dublin in a few weeks time (Friday and Saturday night)?
Were all 50 ish, old friends - looking for good food, and a good night out - but not Michelin standard or Disney Dublin (eg Temple Bar!).

Thank you!

Hi OP, it’s not authentic Irish cuisine or anything, but for a nice meal you try Daata - it’s Pakistani/ Indian cuisine. Lovely food and atmosphere, and nice cocktails.

I usually go to their South Dublin restuarant, but I believe they have opened a new one in town on South Georges Street.

Or if you’re looking for more tradition pub food, you could try the Brazen Head - but it’s not that central, a but of a walk down the quays.

We went to Chai-yo this weekend for Teppanyaki which was great fun and really good food too
there were 4 parties around the station and was really enjoyable

Also just remembered Saba on South William Street - it’s Thai/Vietnamese food.

Hugos on merrion row is one of my favourites. Coq en Boeuf on Suffolk St is lovely too. Isabellas just off Grafton St is nice. All are in a nice area and near nice pubs - 9 Below is lovely!

I have also been to Saba, Daata and Chai yo before and those are good recommendations too

Mister D - the food is amazing. Not particularly lively but a nice atmosphere and the food is highly recommended. It was a recommendation from Mumsnet a couple of years ago. We also liked The Church Cafe Bar - food was good but they had Irish Music and Irish Dancers doing a bit of a "turn" over half hour or so. Its a converted church so a lovely building, you can dine of the balcony and look over to see the music and dancing.

Mister S - sorry!
