Rome in February with teens

We are going to Rome for 5 nights in February with young teens. They are looking forward to seeing the colloseum, climbing the dome in St Peters basilica and eating pizza.
Any teen activities so it isn't all art museums and statues.

Pasta making class or similar cooking activity?
Café time in a piazza (Navarra or other)
Shopping of some kind?

What series/films have they seen? They might like to visit places they have seen on-screen?

TBH, if they're looking forward to the Colloseum and St Peter's, you should be ok to walk lots and see the famous sights.
-Roman forum
-Spanish Steps
-Trevi Fountain - no swimming :) and I hear there's an access charge now so bring some cash?

Yes definitely the Forum, the Trevi fountain and the Spanish Steps.

And food! We found using Google and their reviews surprisingly effective for nice little restaurants.

The zoo’s pretty good and you get good views on the walk up there. Walk down beside the river. Have a look and see what football is on.

Pasta making class might be a good shout.
I hadn't thought of the zoo, maybe weather dependent in February but a possibility if weather is fine

There are some great markets

Vespa and sidecar trip was my teens favourite activity (and a brilliant way of getting bearings) followed closely by a foodie tour round Trastevere - they still talk about the fried cod years later. For the Colosseum you will need to book ASAP to get tour tickets if you haven't already done so. The Underground tour is brilliant but it sells out fast - I left it too late last time...

Buy a guide book for them to look at so they can decide themselves.

We went to Rome with a group of teens last Summer - they loved all the historical sites already mentioned but other popular activities were a night time electric bike tour of the city and having them find viral street food / cheap restaurants on TikTok and letting them lead the way to try it all - we found some really quirky spots of the city this way.

Are there any tours you recommend, the ones i have found are expensive for a family.
