Disneyland Paris - staying offsite recommendations?

Hi all,

I'm planning a 3/4 day trip to Disneyland Paris in Oct with DH and 5yr old. We have a preference to stay 'offsite' rather than in one of the hotels so we can get a nice modern or cosy self-catering apartment to offer a little more 'home from home' feel and not restricted to eating out every night / hotel Breakfast.

Has anyone else taken this route and can recommend a local town/area that is still easily accessible to the Park via transport? I've done a bit of research and it seems the areas of Chessy, Serris or around Val d'Europe seem good options but I think it's always good to get some 'lived' recommendations/advice!

We did explore the 'self-catering' accommodation that Disneyland offer but they appear to be a little out of the way on a separate campus and require car hire, so wasn't too keen.

Thanks

We stayed at centreparcs. It’s a 5-10 minute by uber.
accommodation is great ! Really good price to. Obviously self catering there’s a couple of restaurants on site. Aswell as a waterpark. And other bookable activities

We've stayed in hotels whenever we've been, last time we stayed in Torcy and it had more lived in feel than Val d'Europe. That said it was during the olympics, so maybe just more people around generally as it was relatively near the rowing/kayaking venues, which is why we chose it and we did day trip to Disney as well. We stayed at B&B hotel in Torcy, there is a restaurant complex though (that includes an aparthotel) just the other side of the railway line, restaurant complex has a great Vietnamese called le tuk tuk de Saigon. My husband is Vietnamese and he raved about the food. Have also stayed in Val d'Europe which seemed to only be office workers and people visiting Disney, it was very quiet in the evening. Personally I do quite like staying on property at Disney, I like those early magic hours.

Residhome val de Europe. One stop on the train. Always our preference.

StayCity Appartments are our go to. Definitely a home from home vibe with free shuttles to and from the park. A 10 min drive if you prefer to take your own car to the parks each day.

I know you said offsite but if you plan on driving don’t rule out Davy Crockett Ranch 5-7 mins drive to Disney and are lodges. They sleep up to 6 people have two bedrooms and cooking facilities (think caravan holiday) it is set in a wooded area very peaceful, has swimming pool etc,

BUT it is a Disney hotel so you get all the advantages, early magic hour, free parking etc but the benefit of being off site. We have stayed there twice and loved it.

Thanks yes we did have a look at the Davy Crockett Ranch, and looked really nice, but the drawback was it appeared you had to hire a car ddue to the location. My DH is the sole driver and really doesn't feel confident driving on the 'other side' in Europe (due to a prior near miss once). Is there any other option to stay there and not have to hire a car? Do they offer a shuttle or are Ubers easy to book for the location?

As it is self catering is there any supermarkets near by to get any day to day basics?

Thanks

Ah that’s understandable, it is a very easy drive all toll roads until you are nearly there, but if DP don’t like driving because of a near miss then I get that.

there is a supermarket on site and there are supermarkets around but you would need a car to get to to them.

Uber/bolt etc will collect and drop off there but I think they can only go to the front security area which is still a bit of a walk to your cabin from there.

ideally you’re best having a car for DC.
