One member can’t travel - what to do?

Family of 5 travelling to Turkey next weekend. Due to personal circumstances one member cannot travel, a late teen. The other 4 members can. Booked through jet2 for flights and accommodation. As it’s only 6 days until we fly I think they will charge a fee for removing the passenger. Has anyone had this before and will them just not showing up at the airport cause any issues? Not expecting any money back at all just don’t want problems flying or at the hotel.

Last time this happened to me coming home from Spain I just told the person you give boarding pass to as getting on that one person wasn’t coming so they don’t wait for them

Have you read the T&C's of your booking contract?
I think travelling home, like previous reply suggests, is different from both outward and inbound travel. I'd be worried they would cancel your entire holiday. If you aren't expecting a refund for the person not going, I think I would pay an amendment fee to keep my holiday intact.
I assume "personal circumstances" mean the fee isnt covered by insurance?

From my experience, Jet2 didn't refund, but as it was a genuine reason, got the money back (4 months later-it was not easy!) from insurance. Didn't bother telling them as they wouldn't refund. If they would have done, I would have called them so they could resell the seat.

I asked Inghams about this when I possibly wasn't going to be able to fly and was the lead booker. They said it wasn't a problem so long as those travelling had all the information.
