Best booking sites

I'm looking to take the kids away at Easter. Looking for somewhere that will have the pools open etc. I don't expect everything as it would be in July. I've never taken them away so am clueless. What sites are good to use? Tui, On the beach and Jet 2 look a lot more expensive than love holidays, but it looks like all the extras add up - booking seats beside each other, a suitcase etc. I'm leaning towards all inclusive as it doesn't look that much more.
Any and all advice would be great!

i have found Jet 2 to be the best. In April you need to be careful where you are going, if you want great weather. I can recommend Cyprus….

Do you know which country you want to go to? What airport/s are near you? You can search for flights from X airport to get an idea of destination ideas if you need inspiration.
Easy jet, BA and I think Ryan air also do flight + hotel packages. Once I've seen a few places, I then research them on tripadvisor to see actually photos, reviews etc.

Thanks.
I like Cyprus. I've been away in my teens and 20s and we did self catering and just ate out once a day, with us going to a local Spar type place for bread and crisps every morning. It looks like going to a resort means no real choice for a wee local shop and some places to eat, hence all inclusive. The kids would be happy with grazing and then a large meal at night. Must be gluten free friendly though, which is why I though of Cyprus, given the language.
A friend suggested Turkey and I've looked at Greece, but totally open to suggestions. Somewhere the kids can chill and I won't burn. Edinburgh or Glasgow airport, or Newcastle at a push.
Appreciate the replies.

I'd review places to see how close local shops/aldi etc are.

Another option could be an apartment in a resort or aparthotel. You'll have a kitchen, but the option of having say breakfast at the apartment, eating lunch out if you want and bringing things home for dinner, or reheating leftovers. I don't have children, but DH and I often choose this option. It means if we want a lazy start, we can have cereal or whatever in our room before heading out. Or if we get a meal out, can bring extras home to snack on.
