So never been to Florida in my life. My kids will be 16 & 12 this year & thanks to some inheritance we can finally have a decent holiday (never been abroad as a family) thinking of Florida they’d love universal particularly the Harry Potter parts & mario & also maybe some disney like star wars etc but i’ve got no clue where to start!

do i book it all individually or is there a company with package deals? Do i need something like a 14 days pass for parks? Where do i book that? Limited to (Scottish) school holidays so worried about the heat and being on the go all day. Also worried about queues and how busy it will be!

where to stay? What to eat? How much spending money? Please can someone talk me through it like an idiot and where to start please?

Also is 2 weeks enough?

And didn’t mention but I would do a week in each place

Also bear in mind that the US is the land of convenience. Everything is so so easy by design!! Getting an uber or Lyft is absolutely no hassle and you will certainly need to get one at some point but don’t be worried they are so easy.

OP, Florida has never been my thing so I can’t advise on the parks etc, but you have a sizeable amount of cash and a dream holiday in mind.

You should contact an independent travel agent who can put this trip together for you and access their agent special deals.

They don’t use packages, they do effectively what you are going to try and do by putting a package together yourself.

You give them your dates, your must haves, your nice to haves and your cherry on the tops.

I’d start by giving them a modest budget of say £12.5k and see what they come up with. You can then up the budget as you tweak your requirements as they start coming up with options.

DM me if you want me to send you details of independent travel agents I’ve used in the past. As I say, I’ve never used them for Disney but have for other big, complicated trips.

The two original universal parks are linked by the hogwarts express - so you can move around both. Three days for both should be fine, though if you have 14 days tickets you could do more, less intense, days. A day for Volcano bay. Probably a couple of days for Epic.
In July there will be times the weather is bad, but it should pass quickly. Rides won't run in a storm
