A spur of the moment booking, DH & I are going to the N.F. next week for 4 days .
It looks like a lot of rain, I can't walk very far anyway, so suggestions please for indoor activities, museums etc ? We can't sit around a log fire eating & drinking for 4 days solid

The New Forest Heritage Centre in Lyndhurst and the Barbe Museum in Lymington are good for rainy days. Also the Beaulieu Motor Museum, and the museum at Bucklers Hard. If you will be there over the weekend, there will be lots of Christmas Fayres on. Should keep you busy for 4 days 😊

I'm more than happy to sit in a forest pub though! I can highly recommend the Hare and Hounds in Sway for home-cooked, reasonably priced food and is very traditional with a log fire.

I’m pretty sure New Forest Cider and Ringwood Brewery both do tours.
Lyndhurst is a lovely place to browse independent shops, boutiques, and gift stores. Setley Ridge Farm Shop is also nice for browsing.

Lymington has a market on a Saturday, used to have some nice stalls and the high street is pretty.

Well Wednesday and Thursday are looking dry..
Lots of nice driving roads on the forest, Rhinefield and Bolderwood drive is lovely, also many roads around Sway (second the Hare and Hounds recommendation, Green Dragon in Brook and Royal Oak Fritham too)

Beachcomber Cafe in Barton for staring out over the Solent to the IOW. Beach house in Milford is an interesting pub. Biggest log fire I’ve ever seen.

Another good place to park up for an easy walk if it’s dry is Ober Corner in Brock. Nice mooching along the river if it’s not raining.
