Looking for recommendations for family holiday with young adults in Europe (In Italy, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Croatia, Madeira etc). Ideally good and varied food, some activities available incase young adults get bored that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Thanks

We were really impressed with the choice of food at Leonardo Laura Beach in Cyprus

We went to the Suneo Supetar in Croatia with two teenagers last year. On the slightly cheaper end of all inclusive for Croatia, but lovely, clean and the surrounding area is stunning! There are an inflatable water course and pedalos just outside the hotel. You can walk into Supetar which is gorgeous. We got a speedboat tour for a day trip and saw dolphins and a bus over to Bol where the beach is unbelievably pretty and there are more water sports. You can also get a ferry over to Split for a day trip. Recommend!

Thanks both I will check these out.

Long story but DH has ill health, suffers from fatigue and the slightest thing tires him out now, but wants to spend as much time as poss with our adult DC.

Happy if a beach nearby, pool games, other activities or nearby places to visit for them but we probably won’t do very much. They are both Uni age and easy going. Both will probably go away with friends late summer in the UK or abroad but we are paying for this one. We want to go mid May/early June before it gets too hot for DH. One YP has an enormous appetite for food and is permanently hungry all day and night and the other is a very fussy eater but a buffet works better for them. (hence opting for AI). We usually prefer to eat out on an evening on holiday and have a snack light lunch at lunch time and a nice meal at night but paying for lunch, dinners, snacks and drinks for four of us will cost a fortune and S/C is no holiday for me.

We stayed at TUI Magic Life Calabria in September in the Private Lodge area - which is for over 16s. Huge pool, lots of sunbeds, separate bar, pool bar and restaurant, and a reserved section on the beach. The adults only bit was quiet and food was amazing - loads of choice. Drinks served to your table at meals. The only thing that needed to be paid for was fancy cocktails, or ice lollies from the bar. You could buy bottles of wine but the house stuff was perfectly fine. The main resort has loads of activities going on - tennis, cycling, fitness classes, shows, quizzes etc so you could dip in if you wanted and avoid if you didn't. I thought the cost was reasonable - i was looking for a cheapish fly and flop week, and in fact the place was MUCH nicer than the photos, and amazing staff. There is not much nearby - we got the shuttle into Pizzo one day, but we spent a week there in May (along with a week in Tropea) so didn't feel the need for sightseeing. TUI ran some excursions also. We will go back next year in May or September I think.

I would ONLY stay in the Private Lodge part though. Transfer from the airport is about 20 mins.

We liked Nana Beach in Hersonnisos. I main hotel block, and then it spreads out like a Greek village with 2 storey buildings. 7ish swimming pools, 1 for young children, 1 for adults, I big one with a swim up bar where the entertainment happens, several restaurants. A small beach, and a spread of sunbathing areas along the rocky bit of beach, which were mainly adults, as they were not as safe as the sandy beach for children. So you could choose a lively spot or a quiet spot.

All the Iberostar resorts I've stayed at have had a decent amount of pool games, organised football and the like. Fits the bill if you basically want a nice beach resort with options on site.

Any more for any more I would like plenty of decent quality food choices, some activities around the pool or the odd quiz etc.

There are some lovely larger resorts in Belek in Turkey if that would be an option you'd consider, we stayed at the Voyage a few years ago.

Thank you we don’t car for extreme heat and also don’t really fancy Turkey, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia or the Canaries.

But as mentioned in original post happy to consider suggestions in Italy, the Algarve, Spain, Croatia, Greece and Madeira).

Thanks

A good starting point is the Algarve in Portugal. Resorts there keep prices reasonable, the food is varied and the beaches give everyone something to do. Young adults usually like that they can wander safely and find cafés or paddleboard rentals without it turning into a huge spend.
Croatia is also solid. Places around Makarska and Hvar have all inclusive options plus easy day trips so no one gets bored. You get clear water, simple activities and decent value compared to Italy or Spain.
