Yes we went in February the weather was perfect for sightseeing. The hotels were all 5star and very lovely but we didn't get time to use the pools.
We went to Delhi Jaipur Agra and a safari we did see tigers but I think we were very lucky. It's really not like an African safari ( but it's also a fraction of the price!)
It was incredibly busy up early , long coach transfers. The history and historical sights were incredible.
A lot of poverty which is obviously very sad to see and it did make me appreciate how fortunate we are. Having said that people did seem pleased to see tourists and waved at the coach and asked for photos .
Breakfast and dinners were included. All buffet style. Food was nice but as you might expect a bit samey over two weeks.
In Goa we did zero because we
We're exhausted and I wish we'd extended the end to enjoy the pool and beach for longer.
The weather in Goa was very hot.
Hope this is helpful? I guess it's not for everyone but I'd love to go back and see different parts of India.
I brought so much medication with me and Tena pants but we were absolutely fine.

DH and I are going to Barbados for about half that budget, but we are renting an Air BnB cottage, not a hotel.

Are you ok with safety and driving? Just looking at similar for myself but as a solo female traveller a little nervous.

Yes, @socialdilemmawhattodo and they drive on the same side we do which helps!

We've got friends who own a flat out there and they said the drivings fine, roads are quite good. We've driven in other places where people have warned us not to (Cuba, India, Zimbabwe) so I think Barbados will be easy in comparison.

But if you don't want to drive, the buses are supposed to be good. We haven't got a car for the second week and will be relying on buses

You want the yellow buses iirc, usually have a crew of 3-driver, conductor and one to work the sound system, often very crowded but much more fun than the government run blue buses. Hire a car for a couple of days if you need it. Barbados is great, fairly safe but expensive.

I’ve driven in Barbados before - dead easy

Radiator981 · 21/11/2025 11:42

Having driven in Barbados, the US, France, Germany, England and India - Barbados is a doddle!!!

Carribean or Thailand such as Phuket would be possible with this budget and guaranteed heat. You could also get a reasonable deal to Bali

South Africa - it's summer there in February. Fabulous place 😁
