Holiday first aid kit for small baby

My DS is 9 weeks old and we are off to Majorca for our first holiday next Saturday.

I need to buy some bits and pieces for our first aid kit but wondered what I needed for him. So far my list has calpol and thermometer on it and the only other thing I thought about is calamine lotion (assuming it is okay for little ones). Anything else useful for a small baby?

You could get a small tub of Calamine Aqueous Cream just in case (but presumably as he's so tiny he won't really be in the sun anyway and you'd be sooooo unlucky if he got chickenpox!) I've just checked our tub and it doesn't have a minimum age listed.

Sudocreme/Bepanthen was always an essential for us. Maybe a couple of forehead cooling pads.

a suitable bite cream and antiseptic. Maybe rehydration fluids if not b'fed and ok for so young. Usual nappy creams, thermometer, calpol(is that 2 months or 3?)

I always take rehydration sachets with me...DD got the lovely RotaVirus on holiday once and ended up in hospital very ill, could have been a lot worse had we not given her rehydration salts.
Sudocreme is good for everything! Calpol is handy.
Have a great holiday. DD was 5 weeks when we took her on a plane...feed on take off and landing as it helps with the ear pressure. Your DS may sleep the whole way there because of the background engine noise. Put him in a baby gro to travel in, much easier for trying to change a nappy in cramped conditions on the airplane...pack an extra babygro for any accidents.

Thank you for your help - I'm off to Boots tomorrow and now have a list

Tigermeow - thanks for the travel tips! As you can tell from my name we love our holidays, so really hoping our first with the bambino goes well!

Really??? I wouldnt bother, spanish pharmacies are far better stocked than UK ones, I have bought some of the best medicines whilst in spain (for me and the dc's), and the pharmacist normally speaks better english that me

I would just take the basics, savlon, calpol and dont worry bout the other stuff
