Hello everyone, this is a new thread to find out how many of us live in north west europe, and hopefully, be able to swap information.

We are in north west France - not too far from you, RushingAround! but we are somewhat south of Metz, in the country. Needless to say, it is currently snowbound like a picture postcard.

Oxocube, no I have never been there, I am asking because my very good Dutch friend has moved there recently from Amsterdam and I wondered what it was like.

Oxocube.... oh I am being nosy but are you in Muiden? My in-laws are in Blaricum and I use to work for a company based in Weesp so I know the area well...

No, Pupuce, we are in a little village about 5 kms south of Weesp and 5 north of Hilversum! I do know Muiden, though. Blaricum is nice, the old part is beautiful. Only wish we could afford to live there

SML... are you the SML that sat next to me at the London luncheon???? I didn't know you were a software engineer... talk about pre-concieved ideas !!!

Also Sprout.... one cousin has replied about places to buy "cheaper" clothes in Brussels, she says Carrefour (ex GB) is quite good, she mentionned Buissoniere which she said re-opened in Feb (no idea why...)it's in BXL, Wavre and Waterloo.... so look in the Yellow pages... it definitely use to be quite good but I personnally haven't been in at least 7 years!
