Hi, we’re planning on heading to Egypt early November and are looking at hotels now. Neither me or DH have been before so know very little about the areas and hotels.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks ☺️

💯 % recommend Sultan Gardens in sharm el Sheik. It's a 10 minute transfer from airport to hotel resort.
The hotel has everything luxurious.
The staff are all so polite, helpful, friendly

The resort is massive & there is plenty of room for everyone, no sense of overcrowding at all. No queues etc. they have regular mini hop on & off buses to move around if you have mobility issues.

The beach is perfect (we have stayed at many resorts/hotels in Egypt & they state own beach yet they are small, rocky, crowded & coned off areas.

This beach 🏖️ is a real soft open beach with free delivery of drinks, ice creams etc, perfect for snorkelling, sunbathing, paddling or simply strolling.

They also have freshly made pancakes & pizzas to order at outlets.

Adult only pools, family pools, slides etc. everything catered for everyone.

Shops, spa, hairdressers, Italian restaurant All inclusive, coffee bars, the food is 5 star ⭐ in fact the entire resort is 5 ⭐ plus.

You are 10-15 mins from soho square, same distance to markets with beautiful temples.

You won't be disappointed. Check out Easy jet holidays & look at the hotel, it's so much more beautiful than the exquisite photos.

It's beautifully decorated for the Christmas months & the weather still 28c plus in Nov/Dec.

I wouldn't recommend Hurgada it's a minimum 90 minute transfer to all hotels & surrounding by rubble. The hotels are lovely, but not worth the transfer or being stuck in the hotel. Even a trip to the marina is another 60 minute drive each way. It's like being in the middle of a building site!
That was my experiences anyways!

Terrible human rights and misogyny in Egypt. They also refuse to help Gazans despite having a border with them. The men are vile and constantly harass and touch you. Zero health and safety even at resorts. Huge ISIS presence in the northern areas and Sinai. If you must go, stick to Sharm, 5 star hotel and get good insurance.

We are just back from Jaz Elite Asteria in HURGHADA. It’s newly opened and beautiful. Its a lovely beachside resort with a sort of corniche where you can walk to hire golf carts to take you to the central area.

would definitely recommend.

It’s a 10/15 transfer to Hurghada and there are enough excursions on offer to go out all day every day if that’s what someone wants to do. An uber to the marina cost me £3.

I’ll definitely put this one on my list.

I would agree with @YourPeppyAmberTraybake - we’ve only ever had short transfers in hurghada.
Never been harassed by Egyptian men, even when I travelled there alone in my early 20s.
I've always found Egyptians to be warm, welcoming and hospitable people.

Same, I was there on my own last month and found everyone to be very helpful and respectful. TBH I felt like a VIP.
