Holiday ideas (not AI hotel) for a family of four with an almost 2 year old and 12 year old….

We’re fairly active, enjoy exploring but also like things to not be too stressful and overly planned… we like late starts etc.

Somewhere sunny and scenic with plenty of culture

Budget - £3500 inc flights etc and happy to go during term time around May.

Please share any ideas?!

That's a very tricky age gap. What about a Neilson type holiday?

It is and isn’t …. They get on well together and they both will do what the other wants to do…. Eg. Exploring a town / caves etc and baby will go in pushchair… beach or pool then my daughter will play with him and us etc. does that make sense? It’s big enough that they enjoy each other activities

Maybe look at Cyprus, already warm in May (I assume you want to go before the half-term) and plenty to do and see.

We spent a week near Paphos with no boredom at all. Loved the hotel but not the location as it was up the hills, so no beach.

Rhodes may also work location wise.
