a bit overwhelmed with the choices

want to pick the best campsite for stuff for tweens/teens in Southern Brittany or vendee next summer. We will be renting a cabin not "camping" as such.

A decent pools/slides setup is a must, ideally an indoor option for rainy days. And lots of other activities either on site or nearby, high ropes goes down well. And stuff to drive to too.

Mané Guernehué is definitely an option but idealy would like somewhere we could walk to the beach. Also some reviews suggest that that one is best for younger kids. We have had positive experiences with Yelloh Village down south in the past when the kids were much younger.

Am looking at Siblu/Yelloh Villages/Sandaya/Eurocamp sites but would appreciate specific mumsnet recommendations of where your kids have had a good time.

We went to

a couple of years ago. It was lovely. Had children aged 7, 11, 14 and 18 with us.

thanks @BareBelliedSneetch II had spotted this one too!
It looks fairly small (not that that's a bad thing) is that fair? Did you like the immediate area? The beach looks pretty close!

It wasn’t teeny tiny - we ended up on a much smaller site this summer (a Yelloh! one). It was a good size for us I think. The area was beautiful. Really, really lovely.

Following for ideas. I’m looking forward similar for children aged 10 and 13 next summer. Sorry I have nothing useful to add though OP!

We stayed here with a 10 and 11 year old

Slides were good and there were 2 indoor pools. There's also a high ropes course on site and you can surf/kayak nearby. There was a good beach within cycling distance and plenty of others in driving distance. We had a cabin with a hot tub so DC spent a good chunk of their time in that 😆
They run a teen club in high season but it was all French teens when we were there.

thanks for all your suggestions

as a follow up I am finding that there is zero availability at all for a couple of them next summer in august. This is odd as there is plenty of availability at others.
Could it be that I'm too early?

Send them an email, it may be that they haven't opened bookings yet. We are looking to go back to ours and they are opening their bookings this week.

We stayed here
https://www.camping-bretagne-atlantique.com/en

When my kids were teens, they still talk about it now, 7 years later! It was one of our favourite holidays ever. We took bikes and cycled to nearby beaches which were beautiful and not crowded.
They loved the water slides but we're not that adventurous so unsure of high ropes or other stuff nearby that might suit teens

Yes that’s on my shortlist but currently not showing any availability for August at all!

They usually open bookings around October November for the following summer so will show as unavailable.
Edited to say following on social media is a good way of seeing when bookings go live

Many of the Yelloh sites only allow Saturday check in during July and August, they allow flexible dates outside of peak summer. For some Yelloh sites it can be Wednesday or Saturday.
Other companies may be more flexible though!

We booked the site i linked earlier via venue holidays and iirc did a 10 day booking.
However despite loving the site and location the accomodation was very basic and wouldn't use Venue to book again.
The other accomodation looked a lot better (presumably booked direct with the campsite)

If you can go further then Sylvamar is epic.

Overnight ferry from Plymouth to Santander, 3 hour drive up into France.
