We fancy going to Puglia next summer but I've struggled to find what i want hotel wise

Nice big pool
Walking distance from restaurants
Room with separate sleeping space for a child, or aparthotel etc
Activities for children
Near the sea

Any suggestions gratefully received!

From what I remember, Baglioni Masseria Muzza ticks those boxes

Omg it looks amazing! I will have to start saving my pocket money, it's ferociously expensive!

I have bookmarked Residence Blumarine Club at Marina di Ostuni and Vittorio resort in Otranto. We went to Monopoli last year and loved it, but found the towns by the sea were all clusters of buildings and only tiny pools to be had. You had go right out of town to find a resort type place - and then you are not within walking distance of anything. Public transport outside of trains is limited and taxis very hard to come by.

Take a look at the hotel Gran Riviera, which is in between Santa Catarina and Santa Maria al Bagno, on the Ionian coast in Salento (southern part of Puglia). Our friends stay there every summer (we have our house there). They have a pool, spa, and their own platform with sunbeds etc over the rocks where you swim in the sea. Also included is a shuttle bus to Lido Caipirinha beach (where we go) where there are allocated sunbeds for hotel guests, so you’ve the choice of sand or rock swimming.

How old are your kids? Santa Caterina has a small kids’ playground, and is great for mooching for older kids, as it’s very safe.

Otherwise, for bigger budget but more activities like kids’ clubs etc, there’s the Borgo Egnazia, where the G7 was hosted. V expensive though.

Acaya resort in Acaya on the Adriatic side of Salento is nice; golf, spa etc. No idea about clubs, but they had children’s animators there when DS was a baby and we used to take him to their swimming pools. Will need to drive to the local beaches though. As someone said above, you won’t find many beach-side hotels with pools, as there’s the beach there and most Italians prefer swimming in the sea.

Also agree that transport options sans car are problematic, and there’s no Uber.

At 10, I'd take my chances and let them make friends at the beach. My son's made lots of friends at ours; it's easy enough to join in. He has a huge group now he hangs with at the beach.
