Eurocamp newbie, help!

My kids have now outgrown our usual Haven holidays, they are 13 and 8. I’ve been hearing lots of good things about Eurocamp but don’t know where to start really. We aren’t experienced with abroad holidays (don’t even currently have passports!). So can anyone recommended a really good Eurocamp destination, that two growing kids will like, has to be near to a beach and also either have its own waterpark or decent slides in the pool at least, or be near to one. Does this place exist? Thanks in advance

Ones mine loved as teens

Valras Plage - sea, water activities, nice places to visit and nice restaurants

Sarlat - lots of canoeing and shopping

we went to both several times- drove down

If you want to fly, we've previously stayed at https://www.marinadivenezia.it/en
We got public transport from the airport to the site (a very nice coach) and hired bikes whilst we there to get around. It's beautiful cycling around the lagoons.
It has direct access to the beach and you can easily get to nearby islands.

5-Star Camping in Italy (Venice) Cavallino Treporti Punta Sabbioni Lido di Jesolo Marina di Venezia

Camping Marina di Venezia is near Venice (Italy), in the Venetian Lagoon near the cities of Jesolo, Cavallino Tre Porti, Punta Sabbioni. Be our guest, book your next holiday!

@monicagellerbing Bella Italia in Lake Grada. We got a package on Jet2 so flights, transfers & a very nice 2 bed apartment with space outside. Was perfect! Kids can swim in the lake, loads of slides & pools, mini golf & other activities. And the theme parks nearby, easy to get to by bus or a cheap taxi.
Supermarket on site which was reasonable plus lots of food options. Could walk into the town in 15mins for more restaurant options. Also to get the ferry to explore round the lake. Train into Verona or Venice was a bit further.
All linen provided, we did hire beach towels but you could easily take those in your luggage as you get 22kgs each.

We have done Bella Italia in Italy which was quite straightforward. Flight to verona which is about 2 hours then it’s only 25 minutes from the airport to the campsite. You don’t need a car at all and there is so much to do.

Also, I think it’s worth pointing out I haven’t found Eurocamp (and similar campsite) type holidays to be any cheaper than typical package holidays. If you’re looking in the school holidays, once flights or ferries etc have been added on it’s often the same cost as going to all-inclusive. I don’t know why it’s so often cited as a ‘cheap way’ to holiday abroad.

It was about half the price of a hotel stay for us at May half term!

Yes same here , find it much cheaper than AI whatever time of year it is.

Ah really? Maybe because I’ve only been and looked for summer holiday prices, but it definitely seemed like once I’d accounted for the cost of flights, accommodation, transfers and food/meals out, it was pretty much the same cost as a lot of all-inclusive deals (but much better than AI in my opinion so worth it :)
