Just that really? Anyone done a cruise?
How did you find the cabin space?

Any advice of excursions?
Was anyone enforcing dress codes?!

We are looking at going from Miami next summer. Two adults two kids 9 and 11.

I haven’t been on it but we were docked next to it last year in the Caribbean. It was LOUD, obviously loads of entertainment 24/7. Loads of children on board. The queues to get on and off it were very long. Having said that, everyone looked like they were having a great time, and we met a few people who were on it and they said it was fantastic. I think it would be a good option with dc the ages of yours, loads to do and lots of options for eating etc.

I haven't but cruise a lot and have been on RC ships.
Perfect for teens if you like busy and fun.
Cabin space depends on which you book, small ones are tight but you don't spend long in them.
Excursions - we do independently, making sure we get back to ship long before sail away time. Cheaper and less busy.
Be aware of gratituities on top of your fare and drinks - many buy a package which are quite $$.

Biggest concern with your suggestion is Miami in the summer, it's the worst time of year to be there, Christmas or Easter is much nicer. You risk storms and hurricanes in summer, plus it is very humid.

Oh and stick to the dress code - why not, they are not onerous.

Excursions depends on your ports of call but they are expensive if you book through the cruise line. They and research and do it independently.

Do the dress code or don't. You aren't confined to your cabin if you don't dress up. You'll just not get access to certain restaurants and bars that are participating.

There will be loads of videos on YouTube and tik tok showing the ship and cabins.

We have just got back from a week on Allure of the Seas.
It was absolutely huge, queues for everything. Loud music everywhere, probably the most unrelaxing holiday we’ve ever had.
On the other hand, kids loved it, loads for them to do. Food was very nice. Shows were very good.
We’d never go again though!

Hi. Thanks for all the comments.

@Chewbecca we are restricted to school holidays unfortunately And this is only holiday long enough to comfortably accommodate a two week holiday with a couple of days prep/recovery either side! We have done Disney/Universal twice in July/Aug so know what to expect with the weather!

Also some of the dress codes are suits and tux/cocktail dress so quite onerous!
Obviously we will steer clear or anywhere that requires a tux but just wondered generally how much people kept to dress codes on that particular ship.

@heartmatters we have looked at a lot of YouTube clips and online info. I just wondered from actual experience how people found the cabin space when taking kids and associated luggage!

Thanks for everyone's input.

Ah, the formal nights.
You are fine in just trousers, shirt and jacket, just trousers and shirt for the kids, no tux or suit is essential. Just no shorts / caps / t shirts really.
And in fact, fewer people on cruises out of Miami dress up than British / European ones, definitely more casual.
