Flea/Antique Shopping-Where in Europe?

Hi
apologies if this is the wrong place wasn't sure where to put it but I have holiday booked from the 19th of September to the 23rd of September and I really want to go antique shopping somewhere in Europe but I'm not sure where.
Paris has come out quite a few times, but when I google people comment, it's very expensive and overpriced.

My only other requirement is it has to be on a Eurostar route.

Can anyone recommend?

What kind of things do you want to buy?

If it's on a Eurostar route, then your choices are Paris, Brussels, Lille, Amsterdam or Rotterdam. Eurostar plus another train ride could open up another whole load of destinations.

We went to the Puces de St Ouen/ Clignancourt in Paris the other day. It was great fun, but we were just enjoying the atmosphere really, and the kids bought some cheap costume jewellery. We did bump into an American guy who seemed into his antiques, and he mentioned that they were overpriced.

Not overpriced unless you want to sell them on and make a profit! Just for you, then haggle a bit.

Yeah I've heard this a lot which made me think I probably should go elsewhere

I have been to a fantastic one in Bruges where I bought quite a few things. However, I believe the next one is beginning of September so no use for the dates you have. Believe it is held a couple of times a year.

If you were willing to get a second train, you could get a fast direct train from Amsterdam to Berlin.

Berlin has some great flea markets and shops that’ll you’ll love.

I was in Berlin in December and I didn't have a experience, but I don't know if it's because it's mainly Christmas markets at that time

It wouldn't help you this year, OP, but in case you don't know, Lille holds the Braderie Lille on the first weekend in September each year, which is generally regarded as the largest flea market in Europe.

I don't know whether it's seen as good value or not but it's certainly an expereince and, if you need a break from crowds, there's plenty to see and do elsewhere in the city and on its outskirts.

Also you may already know, but since its merger with rail operator Thalys, Eurostar now runs to other destinations beyond those mentioned in PP, though yes, you'd need to change trains.

You could go to IJ Hallen in Amsterdam which is on in your time window, always a good eclectic mix there
