Center parcs late booking

Considering booking center parcs for the last week of the school hols, but am I delusional to think that any activities might still be available to book? Obvs there’s the pool (and I don’t think you have to book that now, do you?) but would be fun to do one or two things like the ropes course. Unfortunately no way to see what’s still available before booking.

(Me, DH and one 10yo)

I think it would be a risk, but would depend on the park. Can you call the site and ask?

Yep, good idea - I’ll ring up tomorrow. Suspect they might be a bit cagey but maybe I’m being unfair!

I don’t think there will be much availability but things change on the day ( my experience leaving it too late to book activities)

I know the whole point of Center Parcs is to stay on site for the duration but if it's ropes you're interested in, is there a local Go Ape you could book instead?

Sometimes there's activities just off site - I know at Sherwood, it's an easy walk/cycle ride along a forest track.

I would phone but think you might find some availability eg we booked another badminton session whilst we there.

Things like high ropes usually has lots of availability. We have been before and booked it the day before. Same with pedalos and mini golf which we usually book on the day. The instructor led things with less slots can be more busy.

We are going at the end of Aug. I booked activities a week or 2 ago due to a later booking. I noticed:

  • Hucks was booked up at peak times (4.45-7ish). Other restaurants weren't.
  • Pool activities e.g. Aqua Jetting only had the really early times left.
  • There was a class my kids were interested in which wasn't showing, so possibly fully booked
  • There was still plenty of availability for lots of activities e.g. segway, laser tag, archery, high ropes where they run lots of sessions.

Another tip is to check 12ish hours before. At that point you can cancel and get a full refund. We have done this with things like a Badminton court, where we have booked it at 9pm for the next morning.

Lots of activities will have availability especially in the off peak times. I guess the most popular won’t, and the restaurants may be difficult to book

We’re at villages nature at the moment. Not sure if you meant UK or EU centre Parcs?
There is loads of availability for activities

We were at CP the first week of the school holidays.
We booked additional restaurants and activities while we were there - tho there was very limited availability.
I'd say if you book, abd then get straight onto the bookings you'll get most things - although maybe not quite how you want them distributed.

Thanks everyone. Decided to book it, and luckily it looks like there are still plenty of slots for the things we’d like to do so I’m very happy. Will also be fun just pootling around on bikes etc. Haven’t been to center parcs since I was a kid so I’m looking forward to the subtropical swimming paradise (Grin) as much as DS is!
