Long Haul for teens / young adults

I love holiday planning but am out of my depth with this one ! We always have nice holidays in Europe and because there are 7 of us they end up at about 13 k for ten days / two weeks .
Am about to plan next summer but wondering - is there anywhere long haul I could bring them for similar money ?
Obviously flights would be way dearer but maybe the location might not be ?

1 . Needs to be under 2 k per person .
2 . Not too hot/ wet .
3 . Loads for active teens / adults .
4 . Culture also vital but assume just leaving Europe would tick that box .
5 . Has to be July .

Anyone done anything you might recommend? I’d be so grateful as I just keep getting overwhelmed .

I don’t really think it can be done but decided I would ask the Mumsnet pool of wisdom .

Thank you !

Thailand? It is their rainy season but in my experience it absolutely chucks it down then it dries up and is sunny for hours.

Costa Rica is amazing. So much to see and do - can’t remember what the weathers like in July .
if you books flights and accommodations separately you’ll save money.

Malaysia would tick a lot of your boxes. It’s very cheap, has decent weather in July and lots to see and do. Flights to Kuala Lumpur are quite frequent and fairly affordable since it’s a common layover location. Rail transport is pretty good, but domestic flights are dirt cheap too. Have a look at Penang, Langkawi and Ipoh, as well as Kuala Lumpur itself.

I doubt Costa Rica would come in under 13k for 7. It's expensive on the ground - UK prices really.
I'd suggest Sri Lanka. Flights will be about 1k each but accomodation, food, travel are very cheap. Loads to do. Culture, wildlife, beaches. East coast for your beach time in July (south coast is in monsoon season).
