3.5 month old on holiday

Hello! FTM here and going on holiday in October when baby will be 3.5/4 months old. I don’t think I want to take our big pram with us and risk it being damaged in the hold so I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions instead?

Will baby still need a lie flat option only at that age? If so, what are the best lie flat/travel prams out there?

I would get a babyzen yoyo. They are great and last about 5 years if needed ( then sell and get 80% back)

The main seat lies flat enough I would be happy to use for a week with a 4 month old without buying newborn nest. Most 4 months olds are outgoing baby nest
But it also fits car seat with adapter. So handy to take car seat also.

Take sling as well. And you can mix up main seat, car seat and sling as needed over holiday.

edit: sorry it’s now called stokke yoyo as was bought out

For a little one of that age I'd still want them in something that can lie flat. They may well be taking multiple naps in it, plus falling asleep at night if you're out to dinner. More comfortable for them and better for their neck/spine.

We love our Cybex Beezy, has been on so many flights and is sturdy but easily folded. Not been damaged at all. Wheels are also slightly larger than for example the Yo-yo and can handle slightly more tricky ground.

I have travelled with the Maxi-Cosi Lara 2 (first time when DS was 8 months), and it’s still our public transport pushchair (he’s 2.5 years now). It can lie flat and folds small enough to fit in overhead compartments in planes.

[I checked it at the gate, as I was travelling on my own with DS. I had him in a carrier and the changing bag and a backpack, which was all I could deal with on the plane.]

It also has car seat adaptors. And quite good value for money.

Thanks for all your replies. They’re really useful and I’m going to find one with a lie flat option as well do intend for him to nap in it during the day/at night
