Copenhagen Hotel Recommendations

We're going to Copenhagen at the end of August for a wedding. For the dates we're going hotels are £££ (300ish a night minimum). If I'm going to pay a lot of money, I'd prefer to pay say £400 for an extra special stay rather than £300 for a bog standard chain hotel. So looking for recommendations.

Not too fussed about exact location, as long as it's actually in Copenhagen and not Malmo like half the hotels that come up on booking sites!

We stayed at the steelhouse, it is a hostel but is very modern and we booked a private room.

We stayed at Grand Joanne right by the train station. It was lovely.

rooftop pool, stunning bar upon entry, city centre

Looks lovely but is £1,050 for 2 nights.

I can't bring myself to pay that much, however lovely!

NH hotels. Lovely place, really nice rooms in a good location close to a subway stop.

71 Nyhavn is my absolute favourite. I adore Copenhagen! www.71nyhavnhotel.com

I’ve stayed at the Scandic Kodbyen in the meat packing district, it was very cool and they ran with the theme (even carpet was meat patterned!) and the breakfast was the best I’ve ever eaten!

We're going with this one, mainly because it's £300 cheaper for 2 nights than anything else i can find!

We like SP34. We’ve stayed in the hotel and the apartment bits. Very central and small and a little bit different. Best bakery in Copenhagen is just down the street.

Seconding this, stayed here as part of a business trip and really liked it, good breakfast, liked the happy hour and centrally located.

Also really liked Rye115 in Osterbro when travelling with DD, out of the centre in a less touristy neighbourhood, more of a B&B type feel, lots of lovely personal touches and the staff were really helpful and welcoming.
