What happens if I no show a TUI inbound (ie going home) flight?

Looking at holidays and cannot find good flights both out and back for one airline. Therefore we want to go out with tui and come back with jet2.

It’s potentially much cheaper to get a tui package and then just also book a seperate one way flight back with jet2, but will there be any consequences if we don’t show up for our return flight with tui?

They won’t be able to cancel the holiday as we would already have had it, but I don’t want to get fined/fare recalculated higher or banned!

Ex Rep here. The check in would close as normal and you’d be a ‘no show’. Youngsters used to quite often not show up for the return flight for example, especially those who’d flown out with the intention of staying longer etc. Then they just got a flight back when needed.

Normally if you book a return and dont show for the outward leg, they will cancel the return leg. Best to book them separately

Ah sorry - didn't read post properly.

As long as you aren't checked in (don't do online check in by accident) they will just assume you are a no show and there will be no repercussions. You've paid for something you're not using, it happens in travel all the time.

Mind blown a bit ! 🤣

We couldn't get decent flight times both ways on our recent TUI holiday. Never thought to simply book home flight with another airline 🤪

What about just booking the accommodation directly or through booking.com etc and then the flight only with Tui and jet2, and sorting your own transfer?

Yes, this will likely be the most cost effective way

Can't speak for TUI but on-line check-in doesn't change much if anything at most airlines.

If you don't make the aircraft and your last transaction with the airline was an on-line check-in you'll be assumed to be no show anyway.
