Waterpark but not Siam Park, and not US

Hello,

We LOVE Siam Park but have been three times, and looking for something as good (well, can't be, as it's No1!).

I do NOT want to go to the US, or anywhere like Dubai/UAE.

I'd quite like a hotel where the waterpark is on site or very near by.
Ideally not AI, as that's never worth it for us (vegan, tee-total). But won't rule out AI if it's good value and has vegan options.

Lalandia in Denmark,Billund! It’s fantastic the biggest water park in Scandinavia. The accommodation and local attractions are brilliant too… legoland, Lego house

Caspianberg · 13/06/2025 10:54

Garda land is also a Legoland themed water park. With regular theme park next door. And lake Garda with tree top climbing and other lake activities if you want a holiday that’s not just one thing for a whole week.

Rulantica At Europa Park?

It’s amazing.

Pelifor · 13/06/2025 12:36

I think it also depends on how old the children are. Teenagers will only really want white knuckle slides.

Helpwithdivorce · 13/06/2025 12:38

Tui blue Ephesus or neverland hurghada

You're right, I should have said.
They are 14 and 10, but my 10yo is not 140cm yet, so is a little restricted with the big rides, much as she'd love to go on them. But she was ok for Tenerife two years ago which still had plenty of great rides for her height.

Slide & splash Parque Aquatico in the Algarve is really good

MillieMollyMandi · 13/06/2025 14:06

Can definitely recommend Rulantica. It has something for everyone of all ages. EuropaPark is excellent too if you’re into theme parks.

Egypt is great for hotels with water parks

Edited

yeah it is. Most of the rides aren’t that scary though. We found it very friendly for the scaredy cats among us (me and son who was 7 at the time, as well as braver 10 yo). Whereas at the water park at duinrell in the Netherlands everything was terrifying

If you stay at Aquashow in the Algarve you're also within easy driving distance of Slide and Splash (and Aqualand too but that's pretty tame).

Thanks, have already done Corfu when my children were much younger. Looking at something with bigger thrills like Siam. Like Dubai/US, but not Dubai/US!

I am leaning towards Rulantica, or Land of Legends if I can make the £ work out.
Siam Park has always come in at a lower-end budget, as we stay in one of the SC hotels and use the free bus.

You won’t better Siam. It has consistently come up as much better then Atlantis etc
I’ve no bias, my bravery has looonnng gone
but my boys are water park adrenaline junkies and Siam is the best

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 14/06/2025 22:41

The water park in Bali is probably closest to Siam park.

the all inclusives in Egypt often have good onsite waterparks.

hm1610 · 15/06/2025 00:57

Neverland hurghada

DemonsandMosquitoes · 15/06/2025 08:39

Pine Bay resort, Kusadadi. Own water park in site plus close to two bigger ones, Adaland and Aqua Fantasy- we preferred this to Siam Park.

Squishysquash · 16/06/2025 22:24

Rulantica/europa park sometimes have offers out of peak times, but if travelling on the school holidays and wanting to keep the price down there are many accommodation options off site in the area. There's a bus that runs round the resort and to the train station and some other stops all through the day. Staying on site is pretty great though, amazing theming in the hotels and grounds, bits of entertainment going on throughout the day. It's a great place to take kids of all ages, we loved it and hope to go back in the next couple of years.

Thank you!

Still not decided, but lots to look at.

Thanks all.

I have to mention Duinrell… normally the first place MN suggests! It’s great.

Did you consider going to Tropical Islands near Berlin? The hotel accommodation is inside the dome (which is so vast it’s really hard to describe). Fun for a day or two, and in the summer Berlin in baking hot and a good place to visit with older kids. We flew into Berlin for a few days, then we hired a car in Berlin and then drove down to Tropical islands for two nights, then to Spreewald for a few days - I only recommend this if you have a spattering of a German, it’s very much a German tourist area. We loved kayaking on the waterways, very pretty and a part of Europe hardly any Brits go to.

We went to Rulantica in August last year: the water park gets a lot of grumpy comments about it being too busy but honestly we found it okay. We had one day there and for me that was enough. The theme park is absolutely fabulous and we happily spent two days there. We spent some time in France either side of the holiday as we drove, but you can also head into Germany if you fancy it. There are some very pretty places in that part of the world.

We have done Disney Orlando, Disney Paris, Plopsaland (the water park is meh), Siam Park too.

EuropaPark and Rulantica are clear favourites for us.

daisydaisy11 · 23/06/2025 05:56

We love water parks but wouldn't go to any with captive wild animals like dolphins, orcas etc. Isn't Siam guilty of this?

Eastendboysandwestendgirls · 23/06/2025 06:06

Aqua Fantasy in Turkey.
