Can anyone help me find a place to stay in coastal France/Italy?

I'm looking for somewhere to take the family (DCs age 5 and 7) next year that provides transport from the airport, as both DH and I are terrible drivers and the thought of dragging kids and luggage around public transport brings me out in hives! 🙈 We don't really want a hotel (too busy and cramped) so a nice small resort or holiday village where we have our own space would be ideal. We're looking at the south of France or Italy, ideally near a beach and some local places to explore. It's a huge wishlist, I know, and I'm really struggling to know where to start looking! Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations?

4 Mori Family Village in Sardinia is such a lovely place for children - loads of onsite facilities, really safe and right on the beach. You can request a transfer to and from Cagliari airport https://www.4mori.it/en/

Why would you need the accommodation to provide transport? Either book a package with jet2 or similar or get a taxi

Union Lido, Italy! Brilliant place.

we got the bus from the airport BUT you can easily pre-order a cab.

Viareggio, Italy. 30 mins on the train from Pisa or jump in a taxi.

If you are a terrible driver I hope you don't actually drive at home and put everyone on the road at risk. It's actually dangerous to be a terrible driver, not a funny little quirk.

Most airports will have transfers you can book, eg for Sorrento you can book a mini bus transfer at Naples Airport. Or book a package holiday where transfers are included.

I’ve driven abroad plenty but these days I’m pretty happy to take a train. There may be one from the airport or a taxi is often reasonable for up to an hour.
