Holiday pram suggestions

Hi I’m off to Spain for a wedding and to see family in September. My son will be just turning 10 months when we travel.
I’m looking for a travel pram to take and really like the look of the joolz aer or yoyo baby zen but can’t justify the price (have been looking on fb marketplace but seem to hold their value).
does anyone have a cabin approved pram recommendations - one that will fit in the overhead locker (flying Ryanair or easyJet most likely). I’ve seen some cheaper options but unsure on quality etc.
any other must haves for a first holiday abroad also much appreciated!

thanks in advance! ❤️

should have added out usual pram of the ocarro mammas and papas so way too big and impractical to take away with us

Silver cross pop

my home pram is the occaro also, I bought a McLaren one off facebook marketplace place. A little rusty in some places but was cleaned up very well.
okay it’s not as smooth as the mamas and papas but with a second hand snooze shade my baby was happy and napped well in it.

it’s only for a short time & if you decide you don’t like it you can leave it on holiday or throw it away.
I’ll be taking the £12 pram on the next holiday.

Thanks ! Definitely interested in a McLaren (big f1 fans in this house and my mam had a McLaren pram for me as a baby!)
but we do ideally want one that goes in the overhead lockers on the plane to save the hassle of putting in the hold and potentially getting damaged

Silver cross pop won’t fit in the overhead locker in the plane unfortunately.

Not sure where you are, but I just hired the babyzen yoyo for 9 days for our abroad holiday! Worked out much cheaper than buying one, even second hand. But my DC are a bit older, so probably won’t get another abroad holiday where I need a pushchair!

Yes we’re looking at hiring but this is my first baby so wondering if it would be worth buying one as I have family in Spain so likely to travel fairly often so just a bit weary of renting being a bit wasteful on that front..

Deffo worth buying in that case! We found the yo-yo to be good for what we needed!! Although the small wheels weren’t great on all terrain’s

@Domdeeee if you fly ryanair a lot then absolutely check and double check the folded dimensions since it will count as your larger cabin luggage piece, and will therefore have to fit in the sizer.

However, I have travelled many, many times with Ryanair and others and never taken the buggy in the cabin. Too much faff when travelling alone, to get up the steps with buggy, rucksack, baby bag and small wriggly child.

I have always given it up at the gate/plane steps and retrieved it at baggage claim. Has never ever been damaged. We have a one hand fold Cybex Beezy and it's something I'd immediately replace if anything happend. Lie flat seat great for napping and sturdy wheels with suspension.

Was a fab investment at around 300 euros as we're still using it daily and he's nearly 3.

Why does it need to fit in the overhead locker?
