Probably a ton of this same question but anyway. 2 weeks to go until first holiday abroad, looking for all tips and advice and stuff to remember I can get. Flying from prestwick, booked extra seat for her way there and way back. Specifically would like reccomendtions on;

Can I take cow's milk through security for her above 100ml?
Entertainment and toy ideas for plane apart from screen and stickers
Suncream recs - have badger as I like the natural stuff however it's so thick and difficult to apply, do thin ones that are also natural/organic exist that are good
Should I take a trunki for her (unsure if even allowed a bag for her)
Roughly how many outfits for her
Good pool floats for that age, she doesn't tend to like being too restricted and never liked the seat float as a baby

Any other random advice appreciated

Thank you!!

Suction toys that you can stick to the tray table or window that they can spin etc are good for the plane, as are "busy books".

If you have booked a seperate seat for her, she should have full luggage allowance of a case and a piece of hand luggage. Check what it says on your booking.

With pool floats, I'd put her in a float vest and get one of the pull along boat type floats (£5 in asda etc) if she doesn't like the seats. Alternatively, you can get ones that hold them at a 45 degree angle to the water with a UV sun canopy.

Outfits is a tricky one -more than you think, for sure! Unless you are happy to hand wash. At least a pair of shorts & tshirt / sun dress per day for each day, plus something for the evenings too. I find they end up with food on them from lunch or sunscreen marks, so wearing tops or dresses more than once isn't really an option imo. Three swimsuits (preferably the ones with legs and sleeves) should be fine - don't forget disposable swim nappies and a reusable over the top, such as a happy nappy.

A clip on fan for the pushchair is good to have too.

You can get milk at any of the coffee shops and most Boots after security. I found the security a hit and miss depending on the airport for a toddler.

We managed with two normal size hand luggage bags as i didn’t fancy carrying DD and another bag if she got too tired. We had our buggy until the plane but didn’t get it back when disembarking, it came out with the hold luggage, it seems to be up to the arriving airport where you get it back.

For the flight - snacks, paper and crayons, a new book and a magazine. Keep something in your luggage for the flight back.

Outfits - one for each day, plus s a spare in a ziplock bag for the plane.

Trunki - sometimes more trouble than it’s worth, especially if you’ve built in enough time to toddle through the airport and/or you’re taking a stroller. I’ve found from experience that you want them to walk and run as much as possible in the airport so they’re a little tired when you get on the plane.

Toys and entertainment:
Busy board
Toomies eggs
Finger puppets
Nesting eggs
Rainbow widget ball
A couple of tubs of playdough and a couple of cutters
Magic fidget snake
